Nicole Hyomin Kim

Author/Poet

Nicole Hyomin Kim (she/her) is a Korean-born transracial adoptee raised in the United States, lesbian, veteran, mother of one adult son, and self-taught writer. These are not background details — they are the primary sites of the work, where Nicole uses a somatic and phenomenological approach to documenting the human experience and relationship to self through poetic form.

She writes on themes of queerness, love, adoption, late discovery, sociopolitical critique, heartbreak, longing, and belonging.
